Past and present.

We are the Seatown Strength.

We were long known as Katie’s Krushers, but in 2022, it’s time to rebrand as our team plays not just for one child who’s stayed at the House, but for ALL the families and children who currently stay and have stayed at the House. We play for everyone! 

We're very grateful to be sponsored by Seatown Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Air, a Seattle-based company that's been an integral part of supporting the community, sponsoring local sports teams, including the Everett Silvertips in the WHL.

Welcome to The Seatown Strength! The Strength represents the: 

  • Strength of our team: We are strong! We have the willpower and grit to play hard and win! 
  • Strength  of the RMHC families: Our team represents the driven purpose and resilience of the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. 
  • Strength  of the children: Our team represents the fighting spirit, bravery, courage and determination of the young patients at the RMHC who are battling medical issues.
  • Strength of Seatown as a company: An award-winning company with recognized premier service offerings.
  • Strength of Seattle: Our city, Seattle...Seatown! We rep the great 206 as a city!

By the way, our team is made up of defending champions both in the arena winning games and off-the-ice as top fundraisers! We are THE undefeated women’s team in the Hockey Challenge since 2015…help keep our streak going with your support as we continue to defend our titles!

We may have a new team name, but we continue to skate and play our sport for all those children and families whose lives have been touched by the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Seattle and in Anchorage. Please show your support for our team in the 2022 Hockey Challenge!

Our Mission
To support seriously ill children and their families by providing a place of comfort and compassion just steps away from the hospital where their child receives critical care. This safe place to stay serves as a refuge with meals provided, laundry facilities, family activities, and a support community that creates a special place of comfort.
