Team Azure 2023 is raising money for RMHC Hockey Challenge 2023

It all started as a friendly competition between Americans and Canadians in Microsoft Exchange team which quickly translated into what is now known as an epic rivalry between Windows and Exchange teams. 

Both teams have grown, and the annual game is now between Azure and Office 365. 

Name change or not, the tradition continues of raising funds and awareness to help keep families close, and a good solid game of hockey.

When a child is battling a serious illness, families shouldn't have to worry about anything but being there to support their sick child. Sometimes the best medicine is having family nearby for more hugs, kisses and a comforting: "I love you".


Our Mission
To support seriously ill children and their families by providing a place of comfort and compassion just steps away from the hospital where their child receives critical care. This safe place to stay serves as a refuge with meals provided, laundry facilities, family activities, and a support community that creates a special place of comfort.

I am proud to participate in the 2023 Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Hockey Challenge on March 11th. The Hockey Challenge is an annual fundraiser event in support of the Seattle Ronald McDonald House where local hockey teams raise money and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House and play in a hockey game before a Seattle Thunderbirds game. 

The Seattle Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for 700 families each year while their seriously ill child receives medical treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital. Some families stay for nights, some for months. The House is a warm, supportive and safe place during a very difficult time. 

Faced with a child’s illness, life can stop overnight, and parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there is an added stress. Distance. Many families have to travel hours for treatment. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, lost jobs, worried siblings, sleeping in cars. Being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience.

Thankfully, RMHC is able to help when it’s needed most. They keep families with sick children near to each other and the medical care and resources they need.

Help me support the RMHC.  Donations pay for families to stay at the House.  By making a donation, we can give families the gift of laughter, love and time together.  For a sick child, sometimes the best medicine of all is having family nearby for more hugs, kisses and “I love you’s”.  Donations pay for families to stay at the House.
