Strength.
We are stronger together.
As a personal trainer and fitness coach, I define strength as the max force one can apply against a load. Strength is a key fitness component, important for success in many sports. My clients’ successes are often measured by how much one can lift; by how long one can endure under force, such as distance running; or by how quickly one can exert forceful power to complete a task, like a slapshot of the puck into the net.
When it comes to life and survival, being strong means being resilient. We are stronger when we stand together. That’s where the Ronald McDonald House comes in. The House keeps families closer—and stronger—by being a home away from home while their child receives medical care.
Will you help me keep families stronger together during difficult times?
In my 18th year of involvement with the annual Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Hockey Challenge event, I’ll also be leading as a team captain for Seatown Strength. It’s always fun playing to win, but the victory is even greater when you can play your sport to help others!
Strength is resilience. We all win when we help families so they can focus on their child’s healing, instead of worrying about basic shelter needs.
