We skate for the families.
For more than two decades the hockey community, in partnership with the Seattle Thunderbirds, has raised funds to support families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of W. Washington & Alaska (RMHC). Families like Anthony's family.

At 15 months old Anthony started having trouble breathing and he was rushed to Seattle Children's Hospital, where it was confirmed he had leukemia. That moment changed everything for the Strang family. Treatment takes months, and Anthony had to be close to the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House was there to welcome the family and provide a home-away-from-home while he underwent life-saving treatment. Anthony loves hockey, and his story was originally featured at the 2011 Hockey Challenge. Hear an update from Anthony and Sarah Strang in the below video.

This spring, hockey players will again gather on the ice on two different days to support RMHC. Get tickets to one or both games.
Both dates include tickets to a Seattle Thunderbirds vs. Everett Silvertips game!

Our Mission
To support seriously ill children and their families by providing a place of comfort and compassion just steps away from the hospital where their child receives critical care. This safe place to stay serves as a refuge with meals provided, laundry facilities, family activities, and a support community that creates a special place of comfort.
